Seminars and Presentations for Commonwealth Departments and Agencies
We appreciate it is difficult for Departmental HR Staff to have a comprehensive knowledge of all the issues relating to CSS, PSS, DFRDB and MSBS Schemes. Given the potential impact of giving advice on superannuation options, we understand that they will be concerned that any advice they give to staff will be comprehensive, current and appropriate for the individual's circumstances. We can provide support to departments to remove this concern and potential source of redress.
Civic Financial Planning has extensive experience in dealing with members of the Commonwealth Sector Superannuation Scheme (CSS) and the issues members face as they approach retirement For example, we have assisted many government departments by developing solution package for the issues arising for CSS members approaching age 55. Three examples of our presentations have been provided below. It should be noted that while they were current at the time of presentation they should not be used without consulting Civic.
We believe it is important that departments not only offer general information through seminars but that their staff can then access specific information and advice on an individual basis depending on their own circumstances.
